Just a quick note if you’ve been following (or haven’t been).

I just performed a major upgrade of our main End Times Forum here. This actually was really major in that it’s a really different platform and brought with it a ton of new features and functions.

I’ve been provided a lot more power and flexibility in the design of the forum areas etc..

Once I got to playing with it, I realized that the “Trinity Forum” I had been working on opening may not be necessary any more.

I had thought about using Private User Groups in the past, but the software was pretty basic and inflexible. Now.. it’s not! It’s got everything I need to create private groups in the forum.

This will be much better because I won’t be dealing with 2 different databases.. you won’t be dealing with 2 different forums and searching 2 different databases. I don’t have to do crazy things to tie together your profiles, post counts etc..

And.. it doesn’t tear apart our community. You are going to stay together, but just have some private areas for more focused discussions.

The new Trinity UserGroup section is nice.. You’ll need to accept the ‘guidelines’ in order to join and participate, but anyone can read these areas. Regular users and visitors will have ‘Read Only Access’.

Thanks for your patience during all this. I know I went back and forth a bit, but there was a lot to consider. Now as I said in a forum post today.. “We can get back to reading scripture, praying and preparing for His coming!”

UPDATE: It’s Launched! Please Read the Latest

Update on the new forum we’re launching: Last Post Regarding it Here..

I have the forum setup. I’m just adjusting and installing a few bells and whistles. I suspect it will be open within the week - maybe within days.

I needed to name it something to kind of set it apart from our original forum.. so I’m going to name and refer to it as the *Trinity Forum*. I thought that was a good fit considering the focus of the forum… a specific doctrine and foundation of beliefs.

There will be some other adjustments to the site after I have this done.. most are minor changes. I will be doing some upgrades to the main, original forum.

I’m making progress!

Again, this new forum is going to be for those that are interested in discussing more mainstream doctrine in an environment free from those that don’t have those same beliefs.

I think the main forum will remain as it is for now. Those members that do join the new forum certainly can still interact in the main forum; but at least now it’s by choice to jump into the fire.. and interact with views that are quite different then what some of us are comfortable with.

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Over the coming weeks you are all going to see a lot of changes here at The End Times website and forum.. I’ve prayed long and hard and I think the Lord has finally provided me the answer to some dilemmas and new energy. He took His time, but His timing is always perfect.

Active members will know I’ve discussed making some changes just due to the negativity we have on our board.. mainly. A lot of bashing going on, swearing and the like. Not to Christ like.. a reflection of the true nature of man - Thank God He Died for Us!..

From the beginning I’ve wanted to keep our forum an open format.. open to many different shades and variations of doctrine. Part of the reason I approached this forum this way is so those seeking Truth could confront and learn about other doctrines - to challenge them and strengthen their faith.

..and at the end of the day, I think we have accomplished that. I know myself and others have learned a lot in the years this forum has been around.

This format can serve as a place to research and learn about the Last Days from the perspective of others - as we explore our faith and prophecy.

..but sometimes this brings about conflict.. often actually. Because of what Christ charges us with, we want to defend our faiths.. especially if what we think we know is Truth and others are mislead. It’s a ‘real’ battle for Truth and souls.

That.. mixed with Christians that are simply negative in general and/or lack God given patience.

Long story short I wasn’t going to just shut everyone out and go to a ‘Statement of Faith’ format like a lot of forums have… but a month or so ago I thought I might go the direction of just opening an area of the current forum and set up special user groups that do meet what’s set forth in the ‘Statement of Faith’..

But the Lord gave me an even better answer..

I am going to open a sister forum on this same site. A place where we will require the ‘Statement of Faith’ to be acknowledged and understood - a Statement of Faith that is more mainstream and more in line with mine and others doctrinal views.

This new forum will be a sanctuary for those like-minded Christians to have real, uninterrupted discussions on the topics they desire related to the End Times..

My hope is there will be less arguments and less frustration.

I will be asking help from those that would like to be moderators in both forums. In our current forum I’m going to ask that moderators have less tolerance to keep the conversations as civil and Christian like as possible. And we will use tactics to patrol and moderate that we didn’t before.. (i.e., locking threads that get out of hand).

Listen… I don’t care if there are small arguments.. that’s normal and fine. No one’s perfect and sometimes arguments bring us answers and shed light on Truth. I’m talking about hard core bashing, calling fellow Christians names.. condemning etc..

We are are just completing our 3rd year since the launch of the ‘End Times Forum‘..

I’m confident if we all work together, pray together and come together, the next 3 years will be even better and will bless A LOT more people!
