Bible Codes… Is the Source Copy Legit?

Now I’m curious by nature…

And being the busy guy I am I like to know the source of something in many cases before I spend whole lot of time on it..

Plus, I believe that the inspired Word of God serves a specific purpose. And sometimes we stray from the focus on that to contemplate and work on things that just really don’t make sense, don’t matter or don’t have a valid source.

So my thing is.. if it doesn’t have sufficient meaning in the grand context of salvation and spreading the Word of God, I’m not going to waste my time.. makes sense right?

Do you think this is a legitimate and useful pursuit? What difference does it make in that Grand Design? I just wrote a post in the End Times Forum…

Someone asked.. “you would not expect them to form coherant thoughts would you?” This relates to the case of the Fallen Angels Code. He goes on to say, “It is an alphabetical / etymological code, wherein the statements of Female witnesses are set in descending alphabetical order; while those of male witnesses are set in ascending alphabetical order.”

My answer to that is..

I might expect that.. why not? God wrote the Bible. He’d probably do things by accident like that because he’s so smart. ;)

..but my curiosity and questions still stand. And I ask you this because I can tell you’ve spent way more time then I on this topic..

What does that mean? How can I use that information to get closer to God; or to understand the Word better. Or is it just something to pass the time and contemplate. For instance, I might measure and determine that the cracks in my sidewalk are 5 feet apart… and if I take an areal view of my city block it makes a perfect box shape around my block… That’s awesome!… ok, but.. in the end, it’s just a sidewalk..

In the end, is it still just the Bible? Or is there deeper meaning here. Is it warning us? Is it adding to or changing the message? Or is it just there to tell us, “Hi, I’m God. You are one of my smarter creations for figuring this out.” :D

Is it God revealing himself or a clever man who wrote this text slipping this in there?… Again, I have no proof that the text used is the *official* text. Who’s got the Scriptural Copy that is marked, “God’s *Official* *Original* Inspired Words as they were originally written..”? When John sat down and wrote his book, where’d that copy go? Was it sealed up?.. who translated that first copy? And where does the copy that is containing the codes lie in the tree of copies?

If I’m going to tell someone to pull themselves away from the Scriptures and read a book from a guy that cracked a Bible code, I want to know that the end result is that person will come out of the experience closer to God and having deeper knowledge and understanding..

If God wrote something, wouldn’t you think that it might be written with a mathematical edge?.. The Universe has.. and he wrote (or created) that too!

I think my main point is I need to know the source first before I spend a whole lot of time reading about codes. Maybe one of my readers can enlighten me… and has knowledge that the copy used has the official stamp of approval from the Lord himself. ;)

And.. because this is an End Times Blog afterall… does it predict or relate somehow to the Last Days?..

Interpreting the Bible… What if You are Wrong?

Who am I speaking to? Anyone.. God created such a complex and fascinating tapestry - called the mind.. or brain. So complex that even the most advanced scientists of today’s age look at it in wonderment.

Barring External, physical influences.. the Lord himself.. the Holy Spirit can guide our consciousness. Is it not true? Or choose not to.

So… the mind is such in that light can play tricks on us. We think we see things that aren’t really there in the physical world. And it can go much, much farther then that.. often the insane don’t really know their insane do they?

So could it be that… for some influence physical or spiritual.. you got it wrong? What makes you right and another wrong?..

I pose these questions because I am often surprised how sure people are and how closed minded they become to others perceptions and beliefs. Often.. a body of scripture can be interpreted a lot of ways and an individual will run with what he believes is the right ground rules based on what?…

The scripture doesn’t tell us the ground rules of interpretation do they? Or do they… yes, I’m quite sure they do to some degree. But then.. the universe of perception can be easily bent..

Can it not?

I have my beliefs, but I do not condemn others of theirs.. unless they have hidden agendas and are not open to others doctrinal beliefs, ideas and interpretations.

Just.. some random thoughts today.

Redemption: Bible Prophecy Simplified

This Book presents us with a panoramic and chronological overview of God’s plan of redemption for our souls, bodies and this earth as revealed in scripture. This book is simple enough for beginning prophecy students, but there is plenty to intrigue the intermediate or even advanced student as well.

Daniel’s 70 weeks are examined in detail and the symbolism in Zechariah chapters three and five is unlocked. The Bible clearly reveals the methods the antichrist will use in his rise to power and the location of his home base. When God’s Great Redemption Is Understood, Bible Prophecy Is No Longer Complicated Or Mysterious.
